Richmond VA > Mayor's Healthy Richmond Campaign > Million Hearts

Last Updated: 2016-04-25

The Mayor’s Healthy Richmond Campaign is committed to collaborating with vital partners to offer resources that address health disparities in Richmond, including heart disease and stroke. This year, we are joining the Office of Minority Health and Health Equity (OMHHE) by promoting their 100 Congregations for Million Hearts® initiative. The initiative enlists the support of faith-based organizations to help create awareness about the prevention of cardiovascular disease by focusing on hypertension control. Garnering the support and participation of the faith-based organizations in Richmond will help OMHHE’s goal of reducing the incidence of heart disease and stroke in our city.
