| Abstract: Contains features representing Dispatch Zones, Fire Districts, Police Precincts, and Police Sectors. | |||
| Purpose: These feature classes are used to define/describe the extent and boundaries of "Public Safety" areas for use in GIS mapping and analysis. Some data is used by the City of Richmond Emergency Response Center for dispatching Police and Fire personnel and are data sources for inclusion into the City's Computer-Aided Dispatch system's geographical interface. All of these GIS layers are used to relate properties (hence addresses) to the correlating Public Safety areas for use in the City's data warehousing and central address systems. | |||
