| Abstract: Represents Bulk Collection areas. Some items are simply too large to fit in a Supercan or to physically be collected using standard equipment. These typically include furniture and large amounts of yard waste. Such items are collected by the City on a four-week, rotating schedule based on Zip Code. | |||
| Purpose: To define/describe the extent and boundaries of the Bulk Collection Areas for use in GIS mapping and geospatial analysis. Bulk Collection areas are also used in Public Works' GIS-based Asset Management System (AMS). Seeing these areas in the AMS is particularly helpful for bulk collection staff to coordinate and schedule responses to requests for bulk pick-up service. This GIS layer is used to relate properties (hence addresses) to the correlating Bulk Collection Schedule for use in the City's data warehousing and central address systems. | |||
