| Abstract: Represents City of Richmond (Emergency Response Center) Dispatch Zones. | |||
| Purpose: To define/describe the extent and boundaries of Dispatch Zones for use in GIS mapping and analysis. Dispatch Zones are used by the City of Richmond Emergency Response Center for dispatching Police and Fire personnel. Dispatch Zones are the base from which Police Sectors and Fire Districts are composed. Dispatch Zones are a data source for inclusion into the City's Computer-Aided Dispatch system's geographical interface. Dispatch Zones are the smallest standard area used for the collection of certain data including Calls For Service and certain police data. This GIS layer is used to relate properties (hence addresses) to the correlating Dispatch Zones for use in the City's data warehousing and central address systems. | |||
