About

Education and youth programs offer development opportunities to youth in the city of Richmond through nurturing, mentoring, tutoring, training, service, job readiness, financial readiness, leadership development, exposure to entrepreneurship, and post-secondary career exploration. Since its inception, N2N has supported both City and non-City youth agencies by recruiting volunteers and providing direct volunteer service. Some of the agencies we’ve supported are below.


City Supported Initiatives

Camp DIVA -
Girls after school programs, summer retreats, Date With Dad events, and empowering girls for womanhood.


Communities In Schools -
Middle school mentoring.


Early Childhood Development Initiative -
Faith-based nurturing parenting collaborative.


Global Youth Service Day -
Engages youth in meaningful service throughout the Richmond area.


Higher Achievement -
After-School Academy. Mentoring delivering math, literature, and seminar curricula.


Junior Achievement -
Economic and personal finance education for youth.


Mayor's Youth Academy -
Job readiness, leadership development, entrepreneurship, mentoring, and career exploration.


New Jubilee (http://newjubilee.org/) Educational and Family Life Center -
Faith-based mentoring for the children of prisoners.


St. Joseph's Villa -
Villa Pals. Mentoring youth after school in personal, professional, social, and academic growth through activities.


Youth Urban Conservation Corp -
Engages youth in intensive horticulture and business development experience using farmers' produce markets in the Richmond area.
