Metro Richmond Crime Stoppers is asking for the public to assist the Richmond Police Department with a homicide that occurred this summer.

On Saturday August 19 at 1058 in the evening, police responded to the 2400 block of Carmine Street in the City of Richmond for a report of a person shot. The officers located a 24 year old male victim, Justin Townsend, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Mr. Townsend was transported to VCU Medical Center, where unfortunately he later died of his wounds.
