The next election in the City of Richmond will be a primary election on Tuesday, June 12, 2012. The purpose of this election is to nominate candidates for offices that will be on the ballot in November.
The primaries ordered are: Democratic – Member of the United States Senate and Member of the United States House of Representatives for the 3rd Congressional district; and, Republican – Member of the United States Senate
and Member of the United States House of Representatives for the 3rd and 7th Congressional districts. No primary will be held for any of these offices for which only one candidate qualifies to have their name appear on the ballot.
Sample ballots will be posted in late April, 2012 for any office that will appear on the June ballot. Click on the link below for details about this primary, including voter registration and absentee balloting deadlines.
