Families with children who need daycare may benefit from this child-centered, family-focused, childcare assistance program.

Families with children under the age of 13 may be eligible for assistance if they meet income eligibility criteria, are in TANF/VIEW education and job training programs or if the children are participating in Head Start.

Families not participating in TANF or VIEW may be able to receive assistance by contributing only part of the cost for care.

Assistance is also available to families with children physically or mentally incapable of caring for themselves or under court supervision.

Social Services provides child care assistance for children attending center-based and home-based programs licensed or registered with the Virginia Department of Social Services. To find a child care provider to meet the needs of your family, access this online provider search and download helpful tools for choosing quality childcare.
