Athletic programs are offered year round and serve thousands of youth a year. The department's athletic programs attract thousands of
youth in activities that include football, basketball, tennis, disc golf, martial arts, track & field, boxing, swimming, cheerleading,
baseball, soccer, and golf. The department publishes a
Quarterly Activities Guide that lists community center sports, activities and other program

The Department of Parks, Recreation, and Community Facilities operates four public cemeteries. The office also offers maps for visitors who
wish to tour the historic cemeteries in the city.

| Community Centers |
The Department of Parks, Recreation and Community Facilities offers a wide variety of recreational programs for children, adults and
seniors. Community Centers are located throughout the city and offer programs of interest for citizens of all ages. The centers are
divided into three districts, they are: North/East District, South/Broad Rock District and the South/West District. During the school
year, most centers are open from 1:30 p.m. to 10 p.m. weekdays. All centers are closed on Sundays and holidays. Many neighborhood
groups, clubs and associations use our community centers for meeting space.

| Dogwood Dell |
Dogwood Dell is a City owned and operated open-air performance center. The Department of Parks, Recreation, and Community Facilities
manages this facility and plans the public events. The summer Festival of Arts at Dogwood Dell is the longest running series of its

| Golf Driving Range |
Elson Redmon Memorial Driving Range. The city operates a golf driving range at 400 School St., and also offers golf lessons. The
range is open from mid-February to mid-December.

| Senior Center, Linwood Robinson |
The Department of Parks, Recreations & Community Facilities operates The Linwood Robinson Senior Center, located at 700 N. 26th St.
The center provides information on counseling, advocacy, health, nutrition, employment, social services and volunteerism. The center
also offers a variety of recreation programs. Trips to local museums, theaters, malls and parks are scheduled monthly. Transportation
to and from the center is available and a complete hot lunch is served daily. New members are always welcome. For more information,
