Communications Officer of the Month -- October 2009

The October Communications Officer of the Month Award goes to a shining star of DEC who is about to celebrate her 26th year at the division: Linda James.

James gives assistance to coworkers daily while on the floor. Whether it is ironing out a wrinkle in procedure or assisting in high impact calls, James is always quick to offer her assistance.

In one six-day period, James handled more than 750 emergency and non-emergency calls - always with a calm demeanor. She has also dispatched hundreds of calls for service on the police radios. This workload has consistently placed James at the top of the Division's call-takers - with never a complaint from citizens or officers. Good job Communications Officer James!
