Our Communications Officer of the Month for September – Ashley Marlow

Communications Officer Ashley Marlow’s excellent ability to manage and multitask on the radio was evident Sept. 17 when she dispatched a fight call to the 3500 block of Maryland Avenue. The first unit to arrive on the scene announced shots fired.

Ashley quickly simulcast the officer’s request for additional units and ensured Aviation and K-9 support were notified, helping to bring the situation under control within minutes.

The work ethic of Ashley also is evident in her numbers for the month of September, with 991 calls answered and an average ring rate of .039 seconds.

Ashley, keep up the great work at DEC!
