This week Crime Stoppers needs your help in solving a robbery that occurred in the area of VCU.

On September 19, 2016 at approximately 5:36 a.m., an armed robbery was reported to the VCU Police Department. The victim reported that he was walking westbound in the 1700 block of E. Broad St., when he was approached from behind by the suspect. The victim attempted to flee when he fell in the parking lot.

The suspect displayed a firearm, took the victim’s book bag, which contained his cell phone and wallet, and fled in an unknown direction.

The suspect is described as a black male, wearing all black, armed with a semi-automatic handgun.

VCU Police are in the early stages of their investigation and are asking for anyone with information to come forward.
