This week crime stoppers needs your help finding and identifying a man who shot a United States Marine during a robbery in Church Hill.
At 8 p.m. Friday, jan 27th the victim was walking with his girlfriend in the 600 block of North 33rd Street when they were approached by an unknown male who displayed a gun and demanded money. After the victims complied, the male shot the victim and ran away.
The suspect is described as a black male, 5’10” with a skinny build and young, possibly in his late 20s. He was last seen wearing a dark-colored hoodie with a white and black or red bandana covering the lower portion of his face. The bandana possibly had a Houndstooth print design.
The victim, suffered life-threatening injuries, and is currently in critical, but stable condition. He is a reserve sergeant and was previously stationed out of Cherry Point Air Force Base and served tours of duty in Okinawa, Japan, and Iraq.
